Every Old Mac’s horse boot has a unique hi-tech performance outsole, incorporating the unique Hoof Suspension™ System. The specially developed Thermo Plastic Urethane (TPU) compound will minimize and help speed up recovery from concussion-related injuries. If your horse suffers from any of the following - arthritis, pedal bone fractures, jarred shins, navicular disease, ringbone, knee fractures, laminitis (founder), bruised soles or hoof walls and scalping from overreaching – an Old Mac’s horse riding boot will benefit your horse. Aimed at improving your horse’s soundness, well-being and performance, these boots will extend your horse’s working life!
When used during transport, Old Mac’s will eliminate the problem of your horse throwing a shoe in the trailer. When you arrive at your destination, your horse will be ready to work. Old Mac’s protect your horse from bulb and tendon damage, as well as hoof wall and sole bruising. Their exceptional traction will help prevent slipping on the loading ramp and offer increased confidence inside the trailer. Please note that the use of boots over shoes voids the wear warranty.
You can protect both the stallion and mare against kicking injuries during breeding by fitting Old Mac’s Multi-purpose Horse Boots. The unique outsole design will also significantly improve traction during serving.

Old Mac's G2 Multi-Purpose Horse Boots Sizing
Before you begin taking hoof measurements, please ensure your horse has a fresh and accurate trim.
Old Mac’s G2 are available in 11 sizes (0-10) with each size increasing by 5mm (3/16 inch) in width and length. It is important to note Old Mac’s G2 sizes are in no way comparable to metal shoes sizes.
The unique design feature of Old Mac’s G2 allows for width and length adjustment and is therefore generally suitable for both wide and narrow hooves. Old Mac’s G2 sizing allows for natural hoof growth between trimming. If your horse’s hooves are excessively long and narrow, Old Mac’s Inserts are available separately.
Immediately after a proper trim measure your horse’s hooves. If you intend to use Old Mac’s G2's over metal shoes for transportation then you must take your measurements AFTER shoeing. Correct size selection and proper fitting is very important and will ensure maximum performance from Old Mac’s G2 Multi-purpose Horse Boots™.

Important Size Notes
If your horse is between sizes, go to the larger size.
If the WIDTH measurement exceeds the LENGTH by more than one size (an extremely short and wide foot) we do not recommend Old Mac's G2’s. Old Mac’s Originals are more suitable for this hoof shape.
If the LENGTH exceeds the WIDTH by more than one size (a very long and narrow foot), we do not recommend Old Mac's G2's. If the hoof is long and narrow, but fits within the size chart, inserts may be used.
Old Mac’s Inserts should ONLY be used: • If the boot is slightly too wide, and you need a tighter fit • For a club foot • If one hoof is distinctly smaller than the other |
